CR3, Citizens for Radioactive Radon Reduction, is a nationwide non-profit organization that is 100% focused upon reducing radon-induced lung cancer, and raising awareness regarding radon and the dangers associated with long-term exposure to it.
We need your help to save the $14 million currently budgeted for the Lung Cancer Research Program. It has come to our attention that the U.S. Senate has stricken the funding for this program from its budget. We are speaking up—loudly, quickly and in unison—so that we will not lose this funding.
This fund is the single largest lung cancer research program of its kind. The result of its cancellation would be devastating! The entire lung cancer community would suffer a severe blow that they may never recover from if we do not take a strong stand—now!!
We need to fully support this initiative to save this research money.
Radon-induced lung cancer kills approximately 22,000 people each year. Radon exposure is COMPLETELY preventable, by means of testing, and mitigating, when required. Lung cancer is a by-product of radon, among other root causes. The connection between the two is very clear.
Once a diagnosis of lung cancer has been delivered to a patient, they depend upon their doctors and the research community to help them with their treatment and, hopefully, recovery. Lung cancer is a brutal disease, with most patients succumbing within 5 years of diagnosis. Those who have lung cancer rely heavily upon this research to help them live longer, better lives.
Please help to keep the Lung Cancer Research Program funding in place!
