For those who can’t afford to travel by planes, bridges to connect islands were planned and already approved by National Economic Development Authority (NEDA). The following were those island to be connected: One, Samar to Sorsogon – on the planning staged; second, Cebu to Bohol –from Leyte in the side of Cebu to Ubay on the side of Bohol; third, Cebu to Negros; fourth, Bacolod to Guimaras connecting to Iloilo; fifth, Leyte to Surigao- unfortunately, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is still looking for Technology to build over Philippine Deep. Railways for fast trains alongside with the building of airports will also be constructed for public transport: Among those named was Clark to Manila; Manila to Batangas passing Laguna; Batangas to Sorsogon. In Mindanao: Davao going to Butuan to Surigao; Butuan to Cagayan de Oro; Davao passing Bukidnon down to Cagayan De Oro. The other segment in Mindanao is yet to be approved due to many questions and some sensitivity of the matter to be considered in the proposals.
