in 2006. Part L gave window manufacturers the opportunity to show
the window energy rating label on their products and show the level of
performance.

BUILDINGS
CPD presentation concerning the Building Regulations for England and
Wales. The main topics are the installation or replacement of windows and
doors within educational buildings.
The brief involved the installation of 112 tilt/turn windows in 70mm,
360m2 of curtain walling and 70mm insulated panels. The installation
instantly revived a tired looking building, with a dramatic improvement
aesthetically from external and internal perspectives.
There are many Building Regulations governing the specification of
windows and doors in new and refurbished schools, covering areas such
as overheating, ease of access and thermal efficiency. This module will
consider six key regulations:
