Garden Bridge granted
planning permission

The Garden Bridge Trust, the UK registered charity overseeing completion
of the Garden Bridge, is pleased to announce that the Garden Bridge has
received consent from Westminster City Council.
The Garden Bridge, which will be free and open to all, has received
overwhelming support. The Trust continues to engage with local
communities and stakeholders to ensure any concerns are addressed,
as well as working with both planning authorities to ensure all planning
conditions are met.
The Garden Bridge will offer not only a new public garden, but provide a
vital crossing to link the cultural centres and attractions on the North and
South Banks, as well as an alternative commuter path. The bridge, the
first of its kind in the UK, will also provide new and enhanced beautiful
views up and down the river.
