A NEW CHAPTER FOR CPA UPPER SCHOOL

HEAD OF UPPER SCHOOL BRYANT GUNTER
I couldn’ t be more excited to step into the role of Head of Upper School at Christ Presbyterian Academy. CPA’ s mission- to assist Christian families in helping students come to know God, evaluate all knowledge and life through His truth, and live transformed by His truth for His glory- deeply resonates with my calling as both an educator and a leader. It is a true privilege to live out this calling by walking alongside students and families during these pivotal high school years.
My journey with CPA began before I ever joined the faculty. My wife, Ginny(’ 07), is a proud CPA alum, and our family has long been shaped and blessed by this community. Today, we’ re grateful to be raising three current Lions— Greer( 4th), Gray( 2nd), and Abby( PreK5). CPA has poured richly into our family, and it’ s a gift to now serve in a place we deeply love and trust.
I joined CPA in 2022 as Assistant Head of Upper School, bringing more than a decade of educational experience. I’ m originally from Kosciusko, Mississippi, and attended Ole Miss, where I met Ginny. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Education, I completed a Master’ s in Educational Leadership and began my teaching career at Ravenwood High School where I taught World History and coached football. In 2016, I transitioned to help open Nolensville High School. There, I served as Dean of Students and chaired the Social Studies department while teaching World History and AP Human Geography, before becoming Assistant Principal. I served in this role until God called me to join the CPA team and community in 2022.
At the heart of my leadership is a deep commitment to CPA’ s

“ MY HOPE IS THAT GRADUATES OF CPA LEAVE WITH CONFIDENCE IN THEIR ABILITY, PREPARED FOR THE CHALLENGES AHEAD, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, ROOTED IN TRUTH— READY TO THINK DEEPLY, LOVE FAITHFULLY, AND LEAD COURAGEOUSLY FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.”
