The Institute for Cultural Engagement Leads Woven 2021
In addition to their regular summer reading program , upper school students participated in the annual Woven reading program , curated and facilitated by The Institute for Cultural Engagement ( TICE ). TICE ’ s five centers each selected a book speaking to their respective content area , aiming to expand reader perspectives and spark engaging conversation .
The Woven approach hinges on every student and faculty member participating , allowing for community-wide engagement . As each individual ( regardless of TICE involvement ) selects one of the five books to read , Centers will facilitate group activities and panels for discussion this fall to dig deeper and focus on applicable narratives in our own lives .
