Eric Tollner is an intrepid adventurer having taken part in many ultra-distance events . He has won the Tuffer Puffer ( 161k trail run ) twice and is renowned for creating his own home-brewed adventures . The Cows have been involved with Eric in many of his adventures which include :
• 2013 Freedom Challenge : 2,300k mountain bike ride between Pietermaritzburg and Wellington in the Western Cape .
• 2014 Cape Point to Knysna Challenge : 800k solo and unsupported mountain bike ride ( approximately 800kms ) from Cape Point to Knysna , finishing with the running of the Knysna Forest Marathon .
• 2015 Cape Point to Knysna Challenge .
• 2016 Namibia2Knysna . Eric ’ s 21-day thousand mile odyssey across South Africa would see him run ( and win ) the Fish River Canyon 100k ultra run ; mountain bike 1,500k from the Fish River Canyon to Knysna ; and conclude with his running of the Knysna Marathon .
In early October 2021 , Eric and his 10-year old son , Kade , set off on another home-made adventure on their bikes and armed with cameras . Here is their story .
