Jae Scott - Founder of Passion to Purpose
Jae Scott , Founder of Passion to Purpose , Influencer , and Motivational Travelista is an ever-evolving woman from urban Washington , D . C . who refused to let systemic stereotypes define or limit her . At an early age Jae ’ s parents passed away leaving her and her sister , Shauna , in the care of their Grandmother . Jae struggled to understand but fought through her trials and tribulations and was awarded a Debate Scholarship to the University of Louisville in Louisville , Kentucky , where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pan African Studies and a minor in Latin American Studies . She then went on to a 3 year Masters program , which is equivalent to a PHD , at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco , California where she received a Masters of Fine Art degree in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Fashion Show Production and Personal Shopping .
Being no stranger to the art of balance in the face of adversity , Jae later moved to New York City with $ 30 and a big dream . There she became an image consultant and motivational speaker . Her career has included stints at Victoria ’ s Secret , as a beauty and visual merchandiser and as a luxury consultant for Bergdorf Goodman . It was while working at Bergdorf Goodman with successful clientele like Katrina Adams , USTA ( United States Tennis Association ) first Female President , Gladys Knight ( Legendary Singer ), Floyd Mayweather ( Former Professional Boxer ), Jim Hedges ( Former CEO of John Barret Salon ), John Barrett ( Owner of Top NYC Luxury Hair Salon ), and Clifford Gilbert-Lurie ( Entertainment Lawyer ).
After working in several positions of fashion , Jae recognized a repeating connection of image to passion for life . From her diverse life , travel , and professional experiences , Jae realized her life ' s purpose as a motivational speaker . Her interest in connecting people ’ s inner beauty with their outward appearance led her to explore motivational speaking . With the help of her mentor , the VP of Bergdorf Goodman , Scott leaped head-on into the world of entrepreneurship .
Utilizing Fashion as a platform , Jae released her eBook titled “ 4O Day Dream and Fast Goal : Unleashing the Power of Manifestation ” in January 2016 . Also in 2016 she founded a safe discussion platform called “ Passion to Purpose ”.
