A World of Appearances and Materialism

Today everything and everyone
revolves around appearances and
materialism. If you have a beautiful
mansion with a car and a bank balance
to match then respect, admiration,
unity and love from all is yours. If you
are skinny, light skinned, branded from
head to toe and have a picture perfect
family to match then you are
accepted, honoured, respected,
admired, envied and loved by all in
society.
This parasitic mentality is invading our
homes, our hearts, our minds and our
souls. There is no fault in being
wealthy or being blessed with beauty.
The fault lies in our hearts when we
lose respect or look down upon those
who have far less.
Give a beggar the same respect you
would give to a businessman. This
world is fast becoming obsessed with
upgrading, out doing and competing
with one another.
Will that sea facing mansion be of any
use when you are being carried to
your final abode, a dark and deep
grave?
