What are your thoughts on Islamophobia?
S: Islamophobia is just ignorance. It's part of our duty to do some form of dawah no
matter how little it is, especially if we're able to give that dawah through our
character by just adopting more of the Sunnah .
J: It's really sad that small misunderstandings can lead to such huge problems.
What's worse is that a lot of us are not equipped with the proper knowledge or
etiquette to combat the ignorance or have the confidence to answer attacking
questions .
Message to our readers?
S: Be true to yourself. It's not all about following trends, it's about following your
heart and your beliefs.
J: Let Islam be the guiding light of your life. It's very easy to get caught up in the day
to day madness and beauty of this world. Wanting to keep up with the latest trends
(which recently seem to be compromising more and more of what it means to be
modestly dressed), can make things difficult but we have to push ourselves to be
better and do better.
Once we acknowledge that we're on a journey, we need to know where we would
like to be eventually and make the effort to get there. No one can judge us except
Allah.!
