There were several important and prominent
speakers at the Opening ceremony. The Head
of the World Family Organisation WFO, Ms.
Deisi Kusztra, was one of the speakers and
emphasized that families are entitled to be
protected and also a focus area is on the
Sustainable Development Goals.

Story of development
Ms. Ndileka Mandela – Nelson Mandela’s
granddaughter. Head of Thembekile MANDELA
foundation South Africa, social activist and author
of the recently launched “I AM NDILEKA More
than my surname”.
A few themes were covered and to highlight:
Importance of effective leadership development
within families, civil society and private and
public sector to attain sustainable development.
The important role of women in leadership
development. Sustainable development goal 5
(Gender equality). Behavioral patterns impact
society. Family is at the epicenter of societal
development – how this occurred in her own life.
Her family values that made her who she is. Miss
Mandela shared how her Grandmother played a
key role in raising and developing her.
Societies that promote family systems thrive.
Mrs. Asma Al Hamadi – (Story of
development). Qatar - TV presenter at Al
Jazeera and Ambassador of several National and
Charity Programs.

Heart touching video footage was shown of the various
refugee camp sites and the conditions that families live in. It
also showed the contributions made by different organisations
to uplift these families and improve their lives.
Story of Human (as a story of a woman who heads her
family)
Razia Sultana (Bangladesh)- Lawyer, researcher and Rohingya
activist as well as a winner of “The international women of
courage award”. She is working for the people of Rohingya.
She published two reports after taking interviews with
hundreds of Rohingyas. In this report she told the world about
the sexual violence to Rohingya girls and women by Burmese
security forces.
