Highly commended winner : AkzoNobel ’ s Dulux Academy
Dulux Academy is the home of painting and decorating excellence and the UK ’ s first dedicated training centre for painters and decorators . The training offered celebrates the AkzoNobel brand portfolio and its proud heritage , showcases product and application innovation , and embraces technology . The Academy is now in its second year . To date over 2,700 individuals have attended courses to develop their personal and professional ambitions , which aligns to the strategy to train 10,000 individuals by 2020 .

Highly commended winner : Ricoh UK Products
Ricoh ’ s Inkjet Technology Centre ( ITC ) is the latest addition to the site ’ s Customer Experience Centre which also covers Additive Manufacturing and Production Print . Inkjet represented new technology to their employees and therefore a structured training and development program was rolled out to cover all ITC staff . The program has been a huge success and within a three year period they have developed expertise which is allowing their customers to optimize their operational performance ( by migrating from analogue to digital applications ) and widen their markets .
