What's the most comical or unusual comment someone has made to you? How did you deal with it ?
The most unusual comment someone has made to me occured twice before entering my prep to my first competition. Both competitors told me jokingly that they "would beat me" on stage. My response was a smile. When I first took the decision to do the Jax Physique I entered with the mindset of doing it for myself. Not to be better than other person, just simply be better than the other woman I see daily in the mirror: Me. I believe it says a lot more from an athlete from how they present themselves outside activities rather than when performing their gifting talents on stage. I rather be humble and stay positive than be sucked into social media and pressure from other competitors.
Do you use a coach or nutrionist and how have they impacted your journey?
My coach is IFBB Pro Eunika Desir. Eunika is the most humble and understanding person I've ever met, she has patience of a goddess. She really knows what she is doing and focuses on her athletes one hundred percent. It's more about quality than quantity for her, she does it for the love of the sport not for monetary rewards.
Ms. Desir is not just my coach, she is my mentor, my role model and closely becoming one of my best friends. I trust her and her applications to my fitness and life goals.
My top six favorite workout songs?
I don't have any particular favorite songs. When I'm at the gym I play my Pandora stations. My favorite station to listen to when doing weight lifting is Linkin Park and Papa Roach Station. During my cardio workouts or HIIT exercises I enjoy Steve Aoki station as well as Latin and Danza Kuduro stations.
Favorite non-athletic activity?
My favorite non-athletic activity is watching movies with my mom at home and taking the time to relax and spend quality time with her.
