Share a bit of background and how it has led up to where you are in the fitness industry today.

Growing up I was always active, whether it was by participating in

dance, track, or some other sport. My favorite activities were dance

classes, including tap, jazz, and ballet, and jumping hurdles. I

always loved being involved and staying active. When I went off to

college I didn’t participate in sports like I did growing up so this

led me eventually to running and and going to the gym. After

graduating pharmacy school, in 2007,

I really got into a lifting

routine and participating in classes at the gym . Over the years of

lifting weights, I saw my body change but I never got my body to my goal. Near the end of 2013, one of my friends entered a bikini show and after seeing her results I decided I wanted to hire a coach and train for a competition as a way to reach my fitness goals.

Where do you typically workout? Certain gym? Any outdoor training?

I workout at Evans Fitness Club. I have done outdoor training in the

past but not recently since I got into training for competitions.

Share with us a bit about your contest history and most memorable show experience.

With my first coach I did two figure competitions in March 2014. I

placed 2nd in both my novice and open class at the NPC Atlantic, and 3rd at INBF Iron Eagle.

I changed coaches afterwards, and we decided I would change to the bikini division, which was the perfect decision for myself.

My first bikini show and most memorable was the Daytona Beach Classic in September 2014. It was a great experience because I was happy with the changes we had made in my physique, I met so many great people, and I placed well at the show. The show overall was a fun and great experience, and I felt making the switch to bikini was the best choice for myself, and I was excited to keep pushing myself to improve my physique. At that show, I won masters over 30 class, won masters overall and I got second place in open bikini. After that show I placed 5th at NPC Atlantic in March 2015 and competed at Jr. USA 2015 but didn’t place (cont. pg. 22).
