The Afrikaans word ‘meegevoel’ means ‘fellow
feeling’, while the Setswana word ‘botho’ is
translated from the saying ‘motho ke motho ka
batho’ - I am because you are. This translates
into ubuntu, or having a deep sense of another
person’s humanity.
