SUMMARY
The golf course at Green Acres enjoys a picturesque setting with much its character dominated by remnant Eucalyptus trees and
attractive billabongs. With its excellent couch fairways and bent grass greens, Green Acres is the premier course in the region.
That said there is considerable room for improvement to not only reinforce its regional superiority but also to challenge the status
of other highly regarded courses in Melbourne. The greatest opportunity for improvement lies with judicious introduction of fairway
bunkers, remodelling of existing bunkers to bring about a consistent aesthetic appearance as well as the design of several new
greens to provide greater putting interest. Such improvements will not only improve the aesthetic consistency and appearance of
the course but importantly strengthen the strategic qualities of the course.
This course plan is a detailed and comprehensive plan to guide the redevelopment and enhancement of the course over a number
of years and allow it to reach its full potential for both members and visitors well into the future.
