Advanced Metal Fabrication (Cum Laude Recognition) Students will plan, design and develop independent projects using the entire lab and instructional resources. This course is geared to meet the needs of the individual student. Students are required to develop advanced skills in machine operation and welding to solve more difficult problems while working to meet industry standards. Advanced projects will be made using multiple machines in the manufacturing lab. These machines could include: Lathes, Milling Machines, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machines and Welders. The parts produced can then be assembled into a useful product by the students. Advanced Wood Processing (New Course) (Cum Laude Recognition) A yearlong course which consists of an in-depth study in the areas of woodworking, cabinetry and furniture design. Group and individual work activities will consist of material estimating, design, building techniques, interior and exterior material application, and career opportunities.
