They will take the skills they have learned in Foods I and apply them to more challenging recipes. The course will cover pastry and bread making, soups and salads, and skills in meat, poultry, and fish preparation. Expand your skills in the kitchen by joining this class. Child Development I This course focuses on the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of the infant, fetal development, prevention of birth defects, labor and childbirth. Students will examine the effects of parent-child interaction on the child’s development. Child Development II This class focuses on the toddler and preschool-age child in the areas of physical, emotional, social, intellectual, as well as moral development. Concerns for children such as child abuse, disabilities and family issues will be addressed.
