NOTICE OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
JOHNSON CREEK HIGH SCHOOL
Each year the School District of Johnson Creek offers a variety of vocational education
programs to students in grades nine through twelve. Program areas include Agriculture
Education, Business Education, Family and Consumer Education, and Technology Education.
Within each program area, there is a wide range of course offerings. Vocational course
offerings are offered on an elective basis. All vocational education programs are broad-based
and designed to prepare young people for productive adult lives, immediate entry in the world of
work, or advanced training at universities or vocational schools. Certified teachers specifically
trained to teach in a particular area teach all vocational education programs. School counseling
services as well as career exploration programs that complement the vocational education
program are provided by or are under the direction of a professionally trained and certified school
Counselor.
All vocational education programs in grades nine through twelve follow district policy number
511.2:
