Individual Sports/Lifelong Fitness (New Course) This is a Physical Education alternative focusing on individual sports such as badminton, pickleball, tennis, bowling, golf, skiing and weight training. Students will also have the ability to modify the class to fit into an individual lifelong fitness program including activities such as zumba, yoga, walking/jogging or aerobics. Physical Education Emphasis is being placed on lifetime activities that will enable the student diverse learning experiences to be used after graduation. Co-ed, individual and team activities will be taught. Grading will be based on evaluation of student's knowledge of subject matter through written and skill tests as well as written assignments. Also, participation, sportsmanship, attendance and wearing of proper uniform will be considered. All injuries must be reported to the instructor. The graduation requirements are one and one-half credit. Team Sports (New Course) This is a Physical Education alternative focusing on the competitive aspect of team sports. Students will spend longer amounts of time on sports such as basketball, volleyball, softball, football, soccer, floor hockey, ultimate frisbee and other various competitive team activities. 40 Table of Contents
