If you need a break from the standard routine, try this class! You’ll learn a variety of traditional
crafting techniques. These could include, but are not limited to stain glass, papermaking,
stamping, flower pressing, slip casting, mask making, weaving, candle making, beading,
stepping stones, paper machete, soft sculpture, dough art, basketry, pysanky, counted
crossstitch, needlepoint, crochet, knitting, weaving, etc. This course may be taken more than
once. Projects will vary each semester.
Youth Apprenticeship Art
If the student is serious about a career in the Art area, then this program is for them. This
program involves being enrolled in courses that allow the student to gain the competencies
needed a career in Art. Students interested in Art need to enroll in art classes. Students must
complete 450 hours of work experience and attain the competencies to obtain Art Youth
Apprenticeship Certificate. Students that are interested in this program must contact the
Counselor for an application form and to be enrolled initially, pending employment.
