’17 RECAP Quality education, no No. 2 pencils required When Travel Exchange delegates weren’t generating new business on the convention floor, they were generating new ideas at educational sessions and seminars. I attended the session explaining the new DMO Network; it was fantastic. I look forward to the opportunity to share ideas, successes and struggles with this amazing group of professionals. I have already gotten some good advice on the dedicated Facebook page! —JULIANNE FREDRICK, VISIT DURANGO (DURANGO, COLORADO) I attended a seminar on generational travel preferences that I found really helpful. The speaker identified the differing travel styles between baby boomers, Gen Xers and millennials and discussed how our industry will be shaped going forward. While we know we cannot stereotype people on age alone, this information helped me develop a genuine understanding of how to identify and serve different customer mentalities. —JENNA AUKERMAN, OMANSON TOUR & TRAVEL INC. (SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA) I enjoyed the new DMO Network session. All sizes of DMOs came together to share ideas and best practices, which generated great discussions and new friendships. —DEANNE CUNNINGHAM, NORTH DAKOTA TOURISM (BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA) 26 February 2018
