Baby boy for Maren Morris Dixie Chicks album postponed The long-awaited ‘comeback’ album from the Dixie Chicks has been postponed to an “unannounced future date.” Titled Gaslighter, the album was to be their first new studio release since 2006’s Taking The Long Way. Whilst the Covid-19 situation is likely to be the main cause for the delay, the album was also fulfilling the group’s contractual obligation with Sony, and we’re not suggesting that this was the case here, but sometimes, if a single doesn’t perform to a record label’s liking the label will delay or shelve an album release altogether. Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer had originally intended to record an album of covers just to get out of their contract but Maines was motivated to write original songs following her divorce from actor Adrian Pasdar, with the single and title track Gaslighter directed right at her ex. Congratulations to My Church singer Maren Morris and husband Ryan Hurd on the birth of a baby boy. Taking to social media to announce the birth Morris posted “Hayes Andrew Hurd. 3/23/20. Love of our lives.” The 29-year-old Highwomen member went on to say, “The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the ‘GIRL’ headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out.” Morris and Hurd married in 2018 and earlier in March, while nine months pregnant, Morris performed at the Houston Rodeo. The MASKED SINGER Blake Shelton - Some Mullet W For Blake Shelton, one of the ways to get through lockdown has been to live up to the promise he made to grow back the mullet he sported back in the Austin and Some Beach, early years of his career. Sharing pics with his locks being attended to by girlfriend Gwen Stefani, the Voice coach looked as if he might have some way to go to return to the full glory of the iconic 90s hairstyle so popular in Nashville. illie Nelson has signed bandana-design face masks to be auctioned to help raise funds for more face masks to be made in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Made by Tanya Boike, a friend of Willie’s granddaughter and a nurse, Monica Cabazos, to help their community, they had already sold more than 500 masks. However, when Boike offered masks to Willie, and his wife Annie D’Angelo, via granddaughter Noelle Ward, Willie suggested he sign them and auction them to raise money towards making more. Ward said that the help from her grandfather was just “who he is,” and with prices for the masks around $1700 each at the time of writing on auction site charityauctionstoday.com it should fund many more.
