As a fine artist Martin Davis is often to be found walking in rural Derbyshire looking for that moment of inspiration . Martin particularly enjoys walking around the Amber Valley , an area he loves and this piece “ Amber valley with flooded meadow ” is a view over the river he came across a couple of years ago . After several days of fairly torrential rain the clouds started to break up and blue sky peeked out . There wasn ’ t much to see until he looked across the valley from Pentrich church to where the line of trees followed the river . In the miniature lakes that had formed on the flood plain he could see perfect reflections of them like sentinels , and everything was so fresh and alive Martin knew he had his picture . “ Amber valley with flooded meadow ” is painted in oils on deep canvas . Two members of staff from William Gregg VC Leisure Centre in Heanor will be partnering The Sea Fish Restaurant in Ripley to support their fund raising efforts towards the charity Heart UK . Stefan Joyce ( General Manager ) and Ian Dickens ( Fitness Manager ) will be taking on the grueling 26.2 mile run in a bid to raise over £ 3,500 for the charity . The Sea Fish Restaurant and Take-away are supporting this , amongst other charities by donating their profits every Tuesday evening from 4:00pm . This will run every Tuesday from the 21st February until the 21st March 2017 . All you have to do to ensure that the money goes to the charity is to quote either of the pairs names , The Marathon Boys or Heart UK . The Leisure Centre along with its sister sites based in Ripley and Alfreton will be running a prize draw for everyone who leaves their details with the leisure centre staff who will be present at the restaurant . This is a great cause , so please get behind them .
