Lady Cougars Work Hard to Stay in the Game with TDA

Lady Cougars Try Their Best to Win AC/DC Match

At the TDA game on October 10 in Armour, the Lady Cougars C-team started out with a loss. Then the JV turned back up with a win. The Cougar Varsity team fell in five sets. The sets turned out to be 25-10, 25-18, 23-25, 17-25, and 17-19. The Lady Cougars won two sets and lost three.

Leading the Lady Cougars was Allison Sebern with 16 kills and Tressa Bull with 14 kills. There were a total of 7 aces made by Madison Wischmann. Madison Wischmann also had a total of 34 digs.

"I thought we played well for the first two sets, then we

kind of fell apart," stated Tressa Bull.

At the AC/DC game was held on October 13 at Lake Andes. The Lady Cougars JV won in a close one. The Cougars Varsity lost in a close one. There were four sets 18-25, 21-25, 25-16, and 16-25.

Madison Wischmann had five aces and Hannah Karbo had three. Taylee Indahl contributed with nine kills and Allison Sebern had seven kills.

"I felt like we played well as a team, but couldn't finish as a team," commented Taylee Indahl.

At the SESD Tournament on October 24 at Platte, the Lady Cougars played Wagner and lost in two sets: 16-25 and 17-25. They also played Chamberlain and won in two sets: 25-12 and 25-19. The third game the Lady Cougars played was against Bon Homme in which they lost in two sets: 10-25 and 11-25. The Lady Cougars last game at the tournament was against Parkston. The girls came out with a win with in two sets 25-12 and 25-19.

During the Wagner game Hannah Karbo had two aces and Allison Sebern had a total of five kills. Santanya Matucha also picked up ten digs durning the game.

The stats for the game agaist Chamberlain were: Taylee Indahl had five kills and four digs, while Madison Wischmann had four aces.

The stats for the Bon Homme game were: Madison Wischmann, one ace; Mattiah Jons, two kills.

In the Parkston game, Madison Wischmann had two aces, Taylee Indahl had five kills, and a total of ten digs from Santanya Matucha.

"I felt as if the team worked together against the tough teams," quoted Brianna Johnson.
