Tg-h , which is a wholly owned subsidiary of New Wave Group , is included in the sustainability work that takes place at group level .
New Wave Group ’ s vision is about sustainable growth where business solutions are not only economically beneficial , but also sustainable from a social and environmental perspective . We are committed to sustainable development that maximizes our contribution to globally agreed sustainable development goals , that creates long-term value for the company and takes the stakeholders ’ expectations into account .
This is the reason why we are actively working to integrate sustainability issues into the Group ’ s core business . Our work includes improving working conditions in our production countries , as well as progressive chemical work . They also involve streamlining transport and logistics as well as using materials that are organic or eco-labelled - or even both .
IN-HOUSE PURCHASING OFFICES
New Wave Group sees a great advantage in being close to the manufacture of our products , which is why we have our own purchasing offices in Asia . It is from here that the daily contact with our suppliers is managed .
We have offices in four different production countries : China , Bangladesh , Vietnam and India , where a total of over 200 New Wave Group employees work . We believe that our strategy – that purchases are made directly between us and the supplier without agents and intermediaries - creates the best conditions for close cooperation . It also provides us with increased control over purchase prices , quality and production flows .
In our work with social and environmental responsibility in the supply chain , our purchasing offices play an important role . Presence and local roots make it easier to visit factories and support our suppliers in the social and environmental challenges they face . New Wave ’ s strength is that we have our own CSR ( Corporate Social Responsibility ) staff working full time on this .
