8 . CUTTING / SEWING
Fabrics are cut into pattern pieces and sewn together to make the final products .
9 . IRONING / PACKING
The products are ironed , folder and packed for further transport
10 . Transport to SWEDEN
The products are shipped by boat to Sweden and further by truck to Cottover ’ s warehouse in Stenungsund .
11 . DISTRIBUTION ACROSS EUROPE
The products are distributed among several sister companies within the New Wave Group across Europe , all of which are annually audited and certified by GOTS . Finally , the products end up at our retailers before they reach the end customer .
7 . DYEING / WASHING
Fabrics are dyed and wet-processed with strict requirements on chemical use and water purification .
6 . KNITTING / WEAVING
The yarns are knitted and woven into fabric . The majority of the products are knitted fabrics .

5 . PRODUCTION
Production is primarily in partner factories in Bangladesh where we have strict control of conditions , se fact section below .

4 . SPINNING
The raw materials are spun into yarn . The yarn is transported by boat or truck to our partners in Bangladesh or India .
3 . Fiber from recycled polyester
Used PET bottles are collected and cleaned before being ground into smaller parts and then melted down and made into pellets . The pellets are then turned into fibre .
2 . GINNING
Once the cotton has been picked it ends up in a local gin that separates the seeds , seed pods and other debris from the cotton fibres . The cotton batting represents only 32-35 % of the plucked cotton bale . The rest is used for oil production and livestock feed , among other things .
1 . Cultivating Cotton
The organic cotton comes from a selection of smallscale cotton farmers in India who are paid fairly for their cotton .
Wave Group has its own purchasing office with nearly fifty employees . Our own staff is present at the factory to ensure that set requirements are complied with in terms of quality as well as social and environmental aspects , and that there ’ s a flow through all stages of production .
In addition to internal controls , the factory regularly undergoes independent social audits within the framework of the Amfori BSCI . New Wave Group is also a signatory to the International Accord , which means that the factory , among other things , undergoes electrical and building inspections as well as training and education in fire safety .
Quality control
The factories undergo quality controls as part of ensuring that they maintain a high standard and that all requirements are met . Quality checks are carried out several times in the chain .
