Medicare Part D Open Enrollment
Senior Health Insurance Counseling for Kansas (SHICK) offers one-on-one, non-biased counseling and assistance to individuals and families either getting ready to sign up for Medicare, or those who already have Medicare. Medicare Open Enrollment is from October 15 through December 7. Cottonwood Extension District offers free, unbiased, and confidential Part D assistance to help you find the best drug plan. Michelle and Karissa are certified counselors. Michelle is taking appointments in Great Bend, Hoisington, Ellinwood, and Claflin and Hays while Karissa will have availability in Hays and Ellis.
When you schedule an appointment, you will receive a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage Worksheet. Medicare beneficiaries need to list all prescription drugs taken, dosage, and 30-day quantity on the worksheet. Bring the worksheet, your Medicare card, and recent letters from Social Security or Medicare to your appointment.
