We have a grain sorghum hybrid variety plot in each county of the district. There will not be a field day this year. But signs are up at both plots if growers would like to look at them. The Barton Co. plot is 2 miles east on Highway 4 of Hoisington and ¾ north (NE 20 Ave.) on the west side. Ellis Co. plot is at 220th Ave. & Chetolah Gold Rd., the GPS coordinates are 38.74042 N, 99.37510 W. We are planning to harvest them and will put out the yield results.
Many thanks to the farmer cooperators who provided the ground and helped me put the plots out Josh Debes & Dean Stoskopf in Barton Co. and Matt & John Grabbe in Ellis Co.
