Cottonwood Connections November 2024

November 2024

District Director Notes - Jay Harris

As Thanksgiving draws near, the agents and staff of the Cottonwood Extension District pause to express our deep gratitude to the incredible network of volunteers, supporters, and partners who help us serve the community year-round. Reflecting on this past year, we are continually amazed by the generosity, commitment, and hard work of those who share their time, talents, and resources to enhance our programs in Barton and Ellis counties.

Our volunteers make an impact in so many ways, whether they’re leading activities for youth, guiding hands-on agriculture and horticulture workshops, or supporting health, nutrition, and wellness initiatives. Their involvement is essential to delivering educational opportunities that empower and connect people of all ages. From setting up for 4-H events, fairs, and horticulture demonstrations to assisting in classrooms and community gardens, each volunteer and supporter plays a vital role in our success. Their dedication allows us to reach more individuals and provide resources that uplift families, businesses, and organizations across the district.

The support from our community partners and donors is equally valuable, enabling us to expand our reach and deepen our impact. Working together, we continue to bring practical, research-based solutions that improve lives, strengthen the local economy, and foster a sense of unity within the community.

This Thanksgiving, we extend our warmest thanks to each and every volunteer, supporter, and partner who makes our mission possible. Your dedication, hard work, and community spirit inspire us, and we are truly grateful for the difference you make. From everyone at the Cottonwood Extension District, we wish you a joyous Thanksgiving season filled with appreciation and celebration.
