Barton County 4-H Council met on Monday, Oct. 24 to elect new officers. 4-H Council is made up of representatives from each club and these council members expand their leadership and communication skills by sharing ideas and feedback from their clubs. New officers include President Parker Dicks, Vice President Landon Woydziak, Secretary Elsa Lopez, Treasurer Melody Braddy, and Reporter Jonas Kern. We are excited to see their leadership in action!

484H is a state-wide event focused on community service with a goal to see how many hours can be accumulated across the state. Barton 4-H families worked on several projects on Sunday, Oct. 9. A large group gathered at the Extension Office to bake cookies for law enforcement, fire departments, city offices, and the 911 Dispatch office. Other groups set up and organized shelves in a storage room at the Extension Office, and cleaned up the grounds at the 4-H Educational Building. Lots of hands made the work efficient and fun!
