November 2022
Greetings from the Director:
November signals the beginning of the holiday season, complete with celebrations. My hope for each of you is that you will find ways to connect with your family and celebrate good health and happiness this holiday season.
Here in the Cottonwood Extension District we have a lot to celebrate. 4-H Achievement programs in both Ellis and Barton Counties recognize the young people for their accomplishments in various projects.
Our Cottonwood Executive Board will be interviewing candidates soon for the 4-H and Youth Development agent in the Hays office. It will be good to add a new team member who can help the 4-H program thrive in Ellis County.
Now our board is also looking for an energetic person with managerial and leadership skills to fill the District Director position. The Director serves as the administrative leader of budget and fiscal operations as well as personnel management of local staff and overall program development and delivery. The Director should be engaged in programming that help our communities become a better place for people in the Cottonwood District to live, work, and play. The primary office is negotiable between Great Bend and Hays. Applications will be accepted through November 15th. A position description and online application is available at: ksre.ksu.edu/jobs If you or someone you know is interested in this position encourage them to apply.
The Cottonwood District has an exciting future with opportunities to become engaged in community partnerships. Come and make a difference alongside us!
Donna Krug, District Director
