As gardening season kicks into full gear, we’re excited to share a reliable resource available throughout Hays, and soon in Great Bend! Our Educational Spinners are now set up at Riedel’s Garden Center, Home Depot, Hays Greenhouse, and Westlake Ace Hardware in Hays. Each spinner is stocked with free, easy to grab information sheets covering the most common plant and gardening questions we receive each year.
Whether you’re curious about planting dates, lawn care, tree selection, vegetable troubleshooting, or pollinator gardening, the spinners offer quick, trustworthy guidance you can take home with you.

On top of each spinner, you’ll find a QR code that links directly to our Horticulture Help Desk, run by our trained Master Gardeners. If you have a question you can’t find in the spinner, or you just want more personalized guidance, simply scan the code and submit your question. A Master Gardener will get back to you as soon as they can.
Our volunteers can help with diagnosing a plant problem, choosing the right tree or shrub for your landscape, or navigating Kansas specific growing challenges.
