District Director Notes
The Cottonwood District team of agents have been busy preparing articles for multiple media outlets across the district. You can find articles from the agents on websites or in print publications such as: Great Bend Post, Hays Post, The Hays Daily News, Great Bend Tribune, The Ellinwood Leader, Hoisington Dispatch and Ellis Review.
Stacy Campbell has articles about alfalfa weevils and milo production, Michelle Beran has articles that cover how we utilize volunteers and the history of KSRE, Alicia Boor has articles concerning the drought and cattle vaccinations, Monique Koerner discusses Living Well Wednesday and processed foods and Tamara Robertson has multiple articles about 4-H.

Program Development Committees (PDC) meeting
On April 18th we held a meeting for our Program Development Committees (PDC). The PDCs are divided into our four areas of concentration for programming: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Community Development, Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H Youth Development.
Serving on a program development committee is an opportunity for individuals who have an interest in helping their local communities and who would like to develop their personal leadership skills. The members of each PDC work together with agents to develop local extension programming.
Members of the PDCs serve a one-year term and are appointed by the district. If you have interest in serving on a PDC, contact one of the Cottonwood District offices for more information or search KSRE PDC online.
