Join Donna at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th Street, on June 9th, from 10 – 11:30 AM for the story, “Handa’s Surprise.” Children of all ages enjoy this fun story. A snack of fruit will be served at this event.

Learning More About Zoom- June 25th

Once per year seniors may apply for vouchers (seven $5 checks totaling $35) to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, honey and herbs from authorized vendors at the Hays Farmers Market. To qualify:

--Seniors must be at least 60 years of age

--must meet the income guidelines set

--Ellis County residents can apply (after June 1) at the Cottonwood Extension Office, 601 Main, Hays, KS

--Vouchers may only be used with the authorized vendors.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

Zoom meetings have become the norm at work and at home.   If you would like to learn more about Zoom, Megan Hammeke, from the Great Bend Recreation Commission, and Donna Krug,from the Cottonwood District, are offering two 1-hour sessions on Friday, June 25th.

10:00 AM session is focusing on participants joining Zoom by phone.

1:00 PM will focus on participants joining the meeting on their computer.

Brainy Babies -Learn and Play Story Hour

An interactive program for parents and their children birth to age 3. The series encourages and stimulates learning while enhancing the relationship between adult and child. New books, toys and technology resources will be shared for parents to introduce to their children.
