“The Penny Pot” is the name of the story that will be shared on Wednesday, July 21st, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th Street, Come and enjoy the StoryWalk from 10:00 – 11:30 AM. We will be set up in the grassy area around the playground but in case of rain the event will move indoors.

Farmer's Market Visit-July 29th
Once per year seniors may apply for vouchers (seven $5 checks totaling $35) to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, honey and herbs from authorized vendors at the Hays Farmers Markets.

Donna will set up an educational booth at the Summer Street Stroll Farmer’s Market on Thursday, July 29th, from 4:30 – 6:30 PM. Testing of pressure canner gauges will be offered at no cost during that time. Educational materials will be shared related to food preservation.
***Seniors must be at least 60 years of age
***Must meet the income guidelines (less than $1,986 for one-person household)
Ellis County residents can apply at the Cottonwood Extension Office, 601 Main, Hays, KS
Vouchers may only be used with the authorized vendors at both Hays Farmer’s Markets
