4-H Club Day is an event that lets 4-H members build and showcase their communication skills. Project Talks tell about a specific project area and is for our younger 4-H members. A Demonstration SHOWS how to do something usually with a finished product at the end. An Illustrated Talk TELLS how with pictures, charts, models or other visual aids. During 4-H Club Days, members can also participate as a club in skits or model meetings. This takes teamwork and time to practice but is a fun event to get everyone involved!

4-H Club Days

The 4-H2O Ambassador team has added a few new members this year! Lily Dickman, Karlee Crispin, Jorja Stremel, Kinley Pfannenstiel, and Russell Kern will join returning ambassadors Jonas Kern, Marisa Wasinger, Kaden Haas, Lizzy Vajnar, and Jessica Feyerherm. The current team kicked of the year by leading Winter Water Wonders at the Hays Public Library on Tuesday, January 2nd from 10am-11am. 22 youth and 11 adults joined them for hands-on learning activities! Another event will be held at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center in Barton County on Saturday, January 20, from 1-2.

We look forward to a busy year for the Ambassadors as they learn more about water quality, water conservation, and water management then share that information through presentation activities at a variety of events!

Youth placing in the top for most categories have the opportunity to present at a regional competition and can present during the Kansas State Fair. Club Days are scheduled for February 4th for Barton County at Ellinwood High School and for Ellis County on March 3rd at North Oak Community Church in Hays. The public is always welcome to stop by and see these young communicators in action!
