In Honor of
Donna Krug
On her retirement

Today I want to sing the praise
Of a person who’s served in special ways.
Donna Krug is retiring, I’m sad to tell,
For she’s served the people of her communities so well.
Now it’s a long time friendship I want to celebrate,
From the days we were orientation leaders together at K-State.
Her career has achieved a tremendous dimension,
Serving 37 years with K-State Research and Extension.
She’s benefitted countless lives in her position,
Teaching the elements of health and wellness and nutrition.
Through the Cottonwood District, she’s helped expand the bounty
Of family & consumer sciences in Ellis and Barton County.
With retirement ahead, she’ll find lots to like.
I’m sure she and John will be on their tandem bike.
She’s set a standard of good service to which we should aspire,
So best wishes to Donna as she chooses to retire.
Happy Trails!
