On Sunday, November 2nd, the annual Barton County 4-H Achievement Banquet was held at the 4-H Educational Buildings on US 281 North of Great Bend! Barton County 4-H families and their friends joined to celebrate the accomplishments of the 4-Her's and the appreciation we have for the parents/guardians, friends, and volunteers who helped them achieve their goals.

The banquet serves as a time to acknowledge the Project Record work of 4-H Program members, as well as the achievement pin activities they have completed for yearly recognition. We recognized the accomplishments of the 4-H Horse Hippology Team that will be representing Kansas at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado, this coming January. We also congratulated the Barton County 4-H Shooting Sports members who competed at both the state and national levels. Other awards we announced consisted of the 4-H Beyond Ready Wildcats, 4-H Key Award, Danforth "I Dare You Award", and Friend of 4-H Award. We also recognized our outgoing Barton County 4-H Ambassadors. We invite anyone who wishes to come out and celebrate the wonderful accomplishments of our 4-H members to join us next year! Thank you to everyone who came out to recognize and congratulate those who participate in our 4-H Program this year, and a special thank you to our sponsors, First Kansas Bank, and High Plains Farm Credit!"
