Wheat Variety Yield Data

The Colorado Wheat Variety Database provides complete access to variety information and data from university variety trials in Colorado and several other Great Plains states including Kansas. The database also includes private company trial data (Limagrain Cereal Seeds, Syngenta-Agripro) that are reported in the Wheat Varieties for Kansas and the Great Plains book.

The database may be used to find up-to-date wheat variety information, display data from individual trial locations, generate summaries across multiple trial locations and years, and generate head-to-head comparisons for varieties of interest. It is easy to navigate and use, take a look at this decision tool on our web site under Hot Topics.

Saving Wheat Seed

Remember the longer you save your certified seed and replant it—the more probable your chances increase of having seed borne diseases such as loose smut, common bunt and flag smut. Seed treatments can be effective in greatly minimizing those risks, but thorough coverage of all seeds is necessary for the greatest efficacy.
