From Board Chair
Happy New Year Cottage Grove , Newport and St . Paul Park residents and business community . Let me introduce myself . My name is Joe Wegele and I have the honor of being the Chairman of the Board for your Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce . I both live and work in Cottage Grove and fully enjoy the unique aspects of all three cities in our Chamber .
It is with deep gratitude I get to work alongside our President and CEO , Laurie Levine to advance this great organization towards our mission of “ advancing the economic well-being of our members and promote a positive business climate throughout the region .” This mission is not just for the businesses in our community , but the tens of thousands of residents who live in the tri-city area .
For residents of the tri-city area , a heartfelt thank you for supporting our business and non-profit members . It is your patronage , employment and volunteering that makes these organizations thrive . Please look for the Chamber membership stickers when visiting local establishments . They are key partners in supporting and growing our local community .
For members , know your Chamber leaders are working to help grow your organization . The Chamber held over one hundred events in 2023 to provide education , training , and connection to the community . It also has numerous resources to help businesses start and grow . Whether the business is currently just an idea , is newly started or well established and you want help starting or growing your business , the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce has the resources to support you .
