At my age anytime an award is presented to me it is most satisfying . I have a number of accolades on my walls that remind me of my activity in the community . The “ Legacy Award ” from the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce is one of the best . I have always believed that if you take from the community , you should give back to that community . If I have enjoyed any success in this city , it is because the people of the city played a huge part in that success . I thank them for their trust and for giving me an opportunity to live and have businesses here . Being able to participate in the growth of the Cottage Grove area has been very rewarding . I am proud of this city , the Chamber and other community organizations that make this city a great place to live .
