’ d like to start by thanking each and every member of our Community for what they ’ ve contributed in support of our Mission , specifically over the duration of the last two years . My name is Dan Myers , and I am honored to step into the role of President of the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce heading into 2022 .
Our Executive Director , Laurie Levine , is constantly reminding me that “ Our Mission is to advance the economic well-being of our members and promote a positive business climate throughout the region by applying the leadership resources of private enterprise . We ’ re committed to building a stronger business community in our tri-city area .”
With social distancing , social norms , and simply the ability to interact with the rest of humanity ebbing and flowing on the daily we ’ ve all hopefully been able to focus back on those things that truly mean the most to us in terms of our core values . Being born and raised in this Community , I am so proud of the generosity I ’ ve personally witnessed in and around our local non-profits , constant swarms of volunteers serving selflessly , and episodic generosity when a need arises .
We ’ d like to collectively thank our Cottage Grove , St . Paul Park , and Newport customers , clients , patrons , employees , citizens , service providers and each and every stakeholder out there . Keeping our spending local has never been more important as of late and as our communities continue to expand and grow more and more opportunities with these businesses that the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce is comprised of .

Our being in the Chamber has brought us closer together with other small business owners in the community and it has brought us business through the Chambers website . The Chamber also works in tandem with the City of Cottage Grove and local newspapers . All of these things together has brought our business to the attention of the people who live here and in surrounding areas . This is putting us on the map in the City of Cottage Grove .
