Chamber Committees
Ambassador :
Our Ambassadors represent the Chamber in welcoming new members and encouraging participation and involvement in the chamber by all members .
Community Showcase :
This committee is responsible for planning and executing this community event which is held annually . They secure the venue , entertainment , food , and activities for all ages to enjoy , while helping with registrations for booths and sponsorships .
Education :
This committee serves as the liaison between the business community and the local school system . They administer the Chamber ’ s scholarship program and seek nominations for the Educator of the Year award .
Evening of Excellence Banquet :
This committee is formed to develop and execute a plan for the Annual Dinner & Awards Banquet . The main responsibilities include securing a venue , planning the entertainment , handling logistics , and ensuring a smooth , successful evening .
Government Affairs :
This committee promotes business participation in local , county and state government and legislative affairs , as well as promoting the interest of the business community in the political process and economic development .
Marketing :
This committee works to connect the community with the Chamber members through events , the Chamber website , social media and the Connect magazine .
Swing for Scholarships Golf Classic :
This committee plans the Golf Tournament which is one of our largest annual fundraising events . The Chamber raises funds for scholarships that are given out to four area high school seniors every year . This committee is responsible for securing numerous on-course sponsorships , recruiting golfers and volunteer at event .
Giving back to the community and engaging with the Cottage Grove Chamber has been rewarding both personally and professionally . Through the chamber I have been able to build relationships with some amazing people . The leads group that I belong to is a very trusted group of friends that help me navigate through my business decisions and helps me to grow my business . I will always make it a priority to continue to engage with the great Cottage Grove Chamber members and give back to this great community that I consider blessed to live in .
