MOCRA IN PRACTICE: NAVIGATING FDA REGULATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Since the passage of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022( MoCRA), the FDA has drafted and implemented new regulations for cosmetic products marketed in the U. S. In this session, Personal Care Products Council’ s Mary Schilling( Assistant General Counsel) and Genevieve Strand( Vice President, Federal Government Affairs) will provide brand owners, suppliers, and other stakeholders with the latest updates and insights surrounding FDA requirements— covering topics such as labeling, safety substantiation, and adverse event reporting.
Participants will also gain clarity on key obligations and exemptions, such as whether product samples provided at trade shows must be listed with the FDA. Finally, the session will provide an overview of FDA’ s regulatory authorities regarding cosmetic products and share industry perspectives on the agency’ s ongoing efforts to draft new regulations.
