Determined , hardworking and bold are all ways we can describe , model , actress , producer , designer and entrepreneur Draya Michele . Over the last few years , Draya has made a name for herself as being one of the most in-demand talents and designers in the entertainment and apparel industry .
On the TV front , she made her first acting debut in 2015 on TV One ’ s “ Will to Love ” with actress Keshia Knight-Pulliam and Marques Houston . 2016 was an important year for Draya in film , where she held a supporting role in “ The Perfect Match ” [ Lionsgate ], with well-known actors Terrence Jenkins and Paula Patton and also starred alongside Vivica A . Fox in the indie film “ True to the Game .”
In 2011 , Draya launched her upscale swimwear line , Mint Swim , which has since grown to be a multi-million-dollar brand . The motivation behind the brand was sparked by a desire to blend sophistication with contemporary modern chic , making the product ideal for the everyday woman . Draya is the lead designer behind Mint Swim and hand-selects each fabric , color , and sketches out all the work for the designs . In 2015 , Mint Swim expanded to offer plus sizes and children ’ s swimwear , and the enormous demand of Draya ’ s expanding business continues to advance her into new entrepreneurial ventures .
With her having such a popular swimwear line , we would expect the person behind the success of the company to have a pretty exceptional fashion sense , and Draya does just that ! Here are a few of my favorite looks of hers that really show off her personal style !
