CURLY EXTENSIONS
Although it might seem like instinct, for curly hair,
it is not always advisable to apply a mousse. Con-
sider recommending a thin (watery) form of wet
gel that can be applied on slightly wet hair. The wet
gel will define the curls and keep them manageable
without matting the hair on the nape of the neck
area.
If the human hair fibers have been shampooed,
apply a rinse-out conditioner and rinse completely
with water. You may also apply a small amount
of leave-in conditioner and dry completely. Some
leave-in conditioners may turn hair fibers oily; con-
sider recommending a non-oily leave-in conditioner.
Water is a big help when working with curly hair.
You can spray water on the hair and let it soak in
before styling. Brushes and combs are not recom-
mended on curly hair. Only wide-tooth pick or comb

should be used, and finger-styling is always the best
option.
Plait, wrap, or pin curl hair before going to sleep to
avoid losing its original shape. A sleep cap or hair
wrap always works well.
Caring for Extensions/Wigs made from Synthetic
Hair:
When shampooing a wig or extension set made
from synthetic hair, it is important to use a very
gentle sham- poo. Try using one from DeMert
Brands or another company who makes a shampoo
specifically for hair attachments. Bethany, one of the
owners of DeMert, explains that “a conditioner for a
wig would be more about the appearance of the wig
or the extension,” so focus on keeping the wig clean
with shampoo and condition only if needed.
