Editor’s Note
Hello
Readers!
This issue is coming to you from one of the stranger
situations we’ve had in the history of our publica-
tion. As Covid-19 began to show signs of starting,
we had made the difficult decision to move to an
every-other-month publication cycle. In some ways,
it’s been fortuitous to have the extra time to invest
in the publications. In others, the time was hardly
noticeable as we almost every waking moment was
consumed with fear and worry. So many of us have
already lost loved ones or have felt the effects of the
virus and ensuing chaos.
Continuing to produce a wedding issue, even in a
minimal form, felt difficult. I canceled my own up-
coming wedding to keep my loved ones safe, and know
plenty of other people are making the same difficult
decisions. Nevertheless, it’s important to remember that
this will all end. Soon enough, we’ll be able to make
plans and spend time with those we love. In the mean-
time, I urge you to stay home when possible, be safe,
and as always, make sure to support those around you
who need help.
Hopefully, our next issue, releasing in June, will find us
all retunring to some semblance of normalcy. I for one
hope that this situation also helps us all to realize how
ciritcal public health is. With elections upcoming it’s
important to note who in your community is doing thier
part to help and who is causing roadblocks.
Until next time,
Kate Patterson
