Get Your Glow On
Let’s admit it-how confident do us women feel
when we’re about two shades darker than our nor-
mal skin tone? Lucky for us, the range of products
on the self-tanning market has expanded, offering
specific face tanners, body tanners, luminizers that
offer a soft glow, leg sprays…all to target the spe-
cific area where you’d like to boost your skin tone.
When using self-tanners, there are tips & tricks
that can make your tan look genuine, last longer,
and most importantly, not rub off on clothing.

tips with us!
Margina Dennis - Get Your Glow On
Exfoliate
Exfoliation is a great way to achieve a radiant
glow and get rid of dry skin to reveal bright and
healthy skin underneath.
Use a scrub 2-3 times a week to keep the skin
clean soft and smooth. It makes all the different for
a smooth application of your self-tanning products
and for a longer-lasting effect!
Moisturise
There are great products on the market now that
will not only add moisture to your skin, but also
enhance your glow. Using a toning body moistur-
iser helps to purify, moisturize and revitalise dry,
aged, or wrinkled skin. A rich Body Butter restores
moisture to even the most rough and scaly skin
and protects skin against free radicals. It softens
and hydrates skin without feeling greasy. Prop-
erly moisturised skin will keep your skin look-
ing youthful and prevent your tan from looking
blotchy.
Tanning
A Bronzing Mousse looks good on all skin types
and gives you a bit of colour while you are waiting
for the DHA to work. Often they are odourless,
paraben free, they don’t streak and dry quickly.

You will need to wear a pair of gloves to avoid
getting discolored palms, but the results are worth
it. Goodbye orange, hello natural looking tan!
Faux Glow
If you need a little help in the colour department
and want a quick fix, look out for a powder or
a liquid Bronzer as they give that instant glow.
Check first if the products are transfer-resistant to
avoid a fashion faux-pas!
Fixing Self-Tan
If you do encounter a bit of blotchiness, using a
scrub or lemon over the blotchy area will help
to even out any streaking. If you have an orange
self-tanner mishap, use a body scrub or get a loose
bronze powder to cover it.
