s the youngest person ever to be nominated
for British Hairdresser of the Year, it’s no
wonder Jamie Steven’s is making waves all
throughout the industry. This month, we’re
taking a look at one of his Afro collections, which he
worked with junior stylist, Harry Casey, on. Stevens
started his career at 18 and quickly built up an amaz-
ing recognition. His accolades are too many to list, but
he’s won or been nominated for multiple awards almost
every year since the start of his career. He’s a favorite
among celebrities and fashion designers alike.
Harry Casey has been rising to stardom quickly;
he worked with Jamie Stevens to bring this stunning
collection. This 21-year-old stylist is making waves in
the hair world with his incredible and diverse range of
talents.
Casey began his career in hair at the incredibly young
age of 13. He began his career in the Adee Phelan

salon where he worked while getting his hairdressing
qualifications with a focus on avant-garde styling. He
then became an assistant to hear extension specialist
and superstar, Samantha King. Since then, he’s worked
fashion weeks and styled celebrities. These days, he’s
made his home at the Kensington branch of Jamie
Stevens salon where he’s known for his work with
black hair and his exceptional coloring abilities.
His accolades include being a finalist in the Young
Colorist 2013 for the prestigious L’Oreal Color Trophy.
He’s also worked with Jamie Stevens on previous Afro
Hairdresser of the Year photo shoots. In 2014, they
were nominated for the prestigious British Hairdressing
Afro Hairdresser of the Year Award.
